On Jan. 30,  the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City will hold its 25th annual pancake breakfast at McIntosh from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The pancake breakfast is a featured fundraising event held by many Kiwanis Clubs, which are global organizations of volunteers whose mission is to improve their respected communities, in Georgia.  “It originated as the first fundraising project for the majority of Kiwanis Clubs,” said Ryan Jolly, secretary of the Kiwanis Club in Peachtree City.

This fundraiser provides activities for the whole family. “We will have all you can eat pancakes, face paintings, New Hope clowns, and fire and police departments showing off vehicles as well as safety information for families,” Jolly said.

In addition to family-fun activities, this year, “the Joy FM 93.3 radio station will be broadcasting music live at the event,” Jolly said.

Proceeds raised at this event support many youth activities in Peachtree City. “Organizations that benefit from the proceeds of this event are D.A.R.E, Key Clubs, March for Dimes, Builder’s Clubs, K-Kids Clubs and many more,” Jolly said.

The success of this fundraiser stems from community support of the Kiwanis Club in Peachtree City. “Without community support, we would not be capable of helping as many kids as we do here in Fayette County,” Jolly said.
