Starr’s Mill welcomes administrative secretary Cassie Parker to the Panther family. Parker previously worked with her church’s children’s program.
“I don’t miss [South Caroline] as much as I thought I would,” Parker said. “I loved living in Greenville, South Carolina, but we love Peachtree City, so it’s great.”
Parker taught school for 16 years. When Parker worked for her church, she found herself answering phones and welcoming people while the administrative assistant was gone. Until now, she has not been an administrative secretary before.
Parker’s children inspire her. She loves being around kids and enjoys making people smile, feeling that this job allows her to do exactly that. She finds joy in bringing positivity to things and enjoys the organization her job includes.
“I really like to make people smile. I like to make people happy,” Parker said. “I feel like it’s kind of the best of both worlds if I can be around kids and adults still, and just be happy and bring a little positivity to things.”
In her free time, Parker enjoys gardening and shopping. She also enjoys being with her kids and her husband, as well as going on walks and hikes with their Cavalier King Charles puppy.
