Starr’s Mill welcomes math teacher Joshua DeCaeny. In the first year of his career, DeCaeny will teach algebra 1 and algebra support.
“I grew up in this environment,” DeCaeny said. “I wanted to start working in the schools that raised me up.”
DeCaeny’s favorite part of Starr’s Mill is the student body. He enjoys the eagerness of his students and how engaged they all seem.
“They’re not always afraid to ask questions,” DeCaeny said. “They make sure they’re performing their best, which, I think, is a tremendous characteristic.”
When not at school, DeCaeny enjoys playing video games with some teaching buddies and hiking.
