Starr’s Mill welcomes Holly Garner to the Panther family. Garner was originally born in Georgia, but moved to Texas where she lived for four years. She returned to Georgia 25 years later.
“That’s what teachers are supposed to do,” Garner said. “Help students become better at what they enjoy.”
Garner earned a degree in education from the University of Georgia before moving to Texas where she finished her English degree.
As a learning specialist, Garner assists students with understanding the concepts they are learning in their various academic classes.
“I don’t think that you have to be great at something to enjoy it,” Garner said.
Garner has a love for horseback riding that she shares with her daughter. In her free time, Garner likes to draw or hike.
