Mary Chaudoin Mullins is inductee in the inaugural class of the Starr’s Mill Hall of Fame.
While at Starr’s Mill, Mullins played volleyball for four years and played basketball for one year. Mullins also participated in homecoming court and was prom queen her senior year. She graduated with the class of 2008.
“I know there are some very accomplished athletes who have come out of Starr’s Mill High School,” Mullins said. “To be even thought of as being one of them is a huge accomplishment.”
Starr’s Mill won its region all four years Mullins played. The Panthers finished runner-up at state in 2006 and 2007. Mullins was named GHSA Volleyball Player of the Year her senior year. She also was a High School All-American Nominee.
She attended Indiana University to play volleyball. In her junior year, she helped lead her team to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. During her senior year she received the Directors Award, which recognizes the top female and male athletes.
“I personally believe that the Lord guides my path,” Mullins said. “A huge part of my faith plays a role in the path that I have taken.”
At the time of her induction into the Hall of Fame, Mullins currently works for Kids2, an online kids store. They make baby products for families all over the world.
She previously worked for ESPN for five years and then went to CNN for a short time. Mullins is married and has a one-year-old son named Elliot.
“I feel very humbled and very honored to be selected into the Hall of Fame, especially in the inaugural class,” Mullins said.
