Clint Barbour is an inductee in the inaugural class of the Starr’s Mill Hall of Fame.

While at Starr’s Mill, Barbour played football. Barbour also participated in wrestling and graduated with the class of 2000.

Barbour played center on the school’s first football team. In his senior year, the Panthers went to the state playoffs for the first time. He was also the first Panther football player to play in college.

“[Barbour] really helped develop the culture and traditions of the football team,” head coach Chad Phillips said. ”He’s a great person who helped establish a lot of the history and traditions that we have today.”

During his time at Starr’s Mill, Barbour established the football team’s standards of being physical and never quitting. These standards have helped Panther football win nine region titles and earn a spot in the state playoffs 17 times.

“I was surprised when I was selected for the Hall of Fame,” Barbour said. ”Compared to other people in our history, I don’t think I was close to them, so I’m honored to be selected.”

At the time of his induction, Barbour is a partner at the law firm, Brown, Barbour, and Thrailkill in Peachtree City.

Barbour was born in Peachtree City, Georgia. He played at Georgia Southern University before entering law school. He currently lives with his wife and two children in Peachtree City.

“It was incredible,” Barbour said. ”I made some good friends [at Starr’s Mill] that I still keep up with.”
