Film students produce faculty interviews

Audio-video technology and film teacher Patt Coleman had her first year students interview Starr’s Mill teachers about their lives, inspirations, and philosophies.

For the assignment, students picked the teachers to interview on their own. The groups interviewed the teachers on one day and obtained b-roll footage on a second day.

“I was real proud of them,” Coleman said. “They were really good for year one.”

In previous years, this project was reserved for second and third year film production students. Additional parts of the assignment included editing and matching clips to audio. Students also worked on interviewing and lighting techniques.
